Honest answer: AL FAJR is a cosmetic soap, not a medicine. It keeps the scalp clean and cares for the hair you have. Hair looks fuller and breaks less, but it is not a remedy for hair loss, alopecia or any scalp condition. If you are losing hair, see a doctor or dermatologist.

Usma (Isatis tinctoria, also known as woad) is the plant Central Asian families have traditionally used in hair and brow care for generations. In AL FAJR it is combined with ginger, castor oil and seven further plants in a dark botanical cleanser. Castor oil is a classic hair conditioner; ginger gives the lather a fresh, warm feel on the scalp.

A cleaner, lighter scalp and fuller-looking roots from the first wash. Softer, glossier hair builds up over a few weeks of regular use.

Usma is the common name used here for Isatis tinctoria, also known as woad, a featured botanical in the soap.

One 293 g soap (a quarter of a loaf) costs €30, half a loaf with two soaps costs €50, and the whole four-soap loaf costs €100.

Wet hair and scalp, create a thin lather, massage gently, leave for about one minute and rinse thoroughly.
